These terms apply to all ticket purchases for DARKFIELD experiences in Australia and New Zealand. Tickets are sold through third-party platforms including but not limited to Universe and FringeTix. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms.

VENUE SPECIFIC TERMS

Where a DARKFIELD event is presented in collaboration with or hosted by a third-party venue or ticketing partner (such as Arts Centre Melbourne), additional terms and conditions may apply as required by that venue or partner. In the event of any conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the venue or ticketing partner’s terms, the latter shall take precedence only where necessary to comply with operational, legal, safety, or public policy obligations imposed by the venue or ticketing partner.

Liability and Jurisdiction

Where an event is hosted at a venue governed by a specific jurisdiction or statutory authority (such as a publicly funded cultural venue), DARKFIELD will comply with all applicable local laws and venue-specific policies, including consumer guarantees and safety regulations, as required.

NO REFUNDS

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, except as required under the Australian Consumer Law or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, including in the case of major faults or failures.

EXCHANGES

Exchange policies may vary depending on the event location, ticketing platform, venue, or any additional products purchased.

Unless otherwise specified at the point of sale, tickets are non-exchangeable.

If you have purchased an additional product (such as a Flexi Ticket Add-On), the terms specific to that product will apply.

Please refer to the details provided at the time of purchase or in your confirmation email. If unsure, contact us for clarification.

EVENT CANCELLATIONS

If your session is cancelled or postponed by us, you are entitled to reschedule or receive a full refund.

ARRIVAL AND LATE ENTRY

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled session for check-in.

Latecomers cannot be admitted once the doors are closed. No refunds or reschedules are offered for missed sessions. Your ticket only entitles you to a seat in your scheduled session.

We may be able to accommodate latecomers in a later session, subject to availability and at staff discretion.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

We reserve the right to deny entry or remove any guest for disruptive behaviour, intoxication, or safety concerns. No refund will be issued in such cases.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

DARKFIELD experiences are recommended for ages 15 and up. Guests aged 13 and up may attend if accompanied by an adult. Guests under 13 will not be admitted.

HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDANCE

DARKFIELD experiences are held in complete darkness and include brief moments of sound and movement.

The experience may not be suitable for guests with any of the following:

  • Heart conditions

  • Neck or back issues

  • Pregnancy

  • Discomfort with enclosed spaces or sensory surprises


    If unsure, please consult your healthcare provider before booking.

CONCESSIONS AND ID VERIFICATION

If you purchase a student, senior, or other concession ticket, staff may request valid ID upon arrival. Failure to present ID may result in denied entry or an additional charge.

VENUE POLICIES

Our events take place in partnership with local venues. Guests must comply with all posted venue rules and regulations. Venue rules apply to personal belongings and prohibited items, including food, alcohol, and dangerous objects. Please follow all posted signage and staff instructions.

LIVE PERFORMANCE CODE

Realscape Productions Pty Ltd complies with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. This Code sets out best practice standards for ticketing and consumer protections in Australia.

TRANSACTION FEES

All tickets may be subject to booking or transaction fees applied by Universe, Eventbrite, or other third-party ticketing suppliers, or merchant fees such as Square or Stripe.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Only vouchers or gift cards issued directly by Realscape Productions are accepted.

We do not accept third-party gift vouchers (e.g. venue-specific gift cards such as those issued by Arts Centre Melbourne) unless explicitly stated.

TICKET RESALE

Tickets may not be resold above face value and any resale must comply with applicable resale laws in your jurisdiction, including any price cap regulations. Unauthorised resale may result in cancellation without refund.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND RECORDING

No audio, video, or photography of the performance is permitted without prior written approval. The event may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by us for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your image in such material.

LIABILITY WAIVER

To the extent permitted by law, Realscape Productions is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage sustained during attendance. By attending, you voluntarily assume any associated risks and waive any claims arising from your experience, except those resulting from gross negligence or as otherwise required by law.

PLATFORM TERMS

Your purchase of a ticket is also subject to the Terms & Conditions of the ticketing platform (such as Universe or Eventbrite). In the event of any conflict between these terms and the platform’s terms, the platform’s terms will prevail only in relation to use of their systems or transactional processes.

Realscape Productions is not liable for any modifications, cancellations, or refunds initiated by the platform under its own terms. We recommend that any issues relating to third-party platform actions be directed to the relevant platform in the first instance. However, we welcome feedback and encourage you to contact us so we can log and track any service issues that arise.

PURCHASING METHODS

Tickets may be purchased online in advance or, where available, on site at the venue. Availability of on-site sales is not guaranteed and may be subject to session capacity or staff availability.

All sales, whether online or in person, are subject to these Terms & Conditions.
